Petition: Repair the brownstown Road newcastle - with road closures lasting months - it is imperative, this is repaired - it is the only available road for locals.. - about half way on the browns town Road Newcastle - about the size of a van in length and width - approx 4or 5 inches deep at at the moment & full of water. There’s a lot of them on that road . The Loughtown road that the traffic is diverted to, the opposite side is as bad . The road at the Polly hops is the same if not worse, two months people are raising their concerns over it, cars destroyed, tyres destroyed.

REPORT:
Both the Baldonnel Road and Barney’s Lane are currently subject to a 60 km/h speed limit. Most sections of these roads already have road markings in place, including “SLOW” markings on bends and approaches where additional caution is required.
The Traffic Section will consider the installation of additional speed limit repeater signage along both roads to further improve driver awareness of the applicable speed limit.
If there are specific locations of concern along these routes, please forward the details to the Traffic Section. These locations can then be reviewed on site to assess whether additional measures such as pull-over areas or laybys are feasible, subject to safety assessment, available space, and resources.
